A 9.0 megathrust quake has hit. Water, sewer, electric and natural gas lines are broken. The Sammamish plateau is cut off due to slides. First responders are overwhelmed. Do you have two weeks of water, food and medication available? Do you have a first aid kit? It’s the middle of January and your house has collapsed, can you keep warm and stay dry? If the answer is yes, you have done well, congratulations.
If you answered no to these questions and you want help getting started, come to the Sammamish Disaster Preparedness Fair on Saturday Sept. 7, 2019. It runs from 9am to 3pm. There will be presentations, information booths and demonstrations.
